Our Study Groups in Psychoanalysis and Politics is pleased to invite you to join our next seminar series with the psychoanalyst and artist Bracha Ettinger. We’re very grateful that Bracha has agreed to present to our group and following her lecture on Sunday March 14th, we will host a forum on Ettinger’s talk and her thought more generally on the following Sunday.
Bracha will give a talk on a topic we have been working on for the past few months: the later Lacan’s thought. She will also discuss the screen shock situation of our current moment and a re-consideration of the Freudian notion of eros, or life drive.
Session one: Sunday March 14th 11 am – 1:00 pm EST – Lecture and Q and A with Bracha Ettinger
Session two: Sunday March 21st 11 am – 1:00 pm EST – Response papers and forum on Ettinger’s thought.
Registration is on a sliding scale – please contribute what you can at this time. Once you register we will share two readings by Bracha Ettinger to read before the first session this Sunday. Registration confirms your participation in two sessions:
